Roof Cleaning and Treatment

One of our most popular services by far, roof cleaning, really is as good as it looks. Not only does a roof clean drastically increase your homes curb appeal, it also serves a purpose.

Over time, roof tiles congregate a lot of moss, lichen (white spots), and general grime. While this may seem harmless, it can actually be detrimental to your roof. When moss grows on top of your roof via your tiles, it is susceptible to the weather. This means that it will freeze and expand in the winter, and then reduce in warmer temperatures. After this occurring over and over, it eventually weakens the tiles immensely-making them prone to cracking.

At JMD, we use the proven most effective methods to clean your roof. After a thorough assessment of each roof, we come to a decision for the best way to go ahead.

Pressure cleanse

The most common, and usually most effective method that we use is a pressure cleanse. For this, we use a top-of-the range Vanguard machine, which is specifically designed to remove moss, lichen, and grime from almost any surface. We are so confident with our service, that we GUARANTEE that ALL moss, lichen (white spots) and grime is removed.

Included with EVERY roof clean, is a FREE gutter, soffit and fascia clean.

Soft wash

A soft wash is used only in certain circumstances, whereby we deem it the best option. This can be for a number of reasons, such as access issues, or simply because a roof would benefit more from this method.

Soft washing involves scraping all moss off the roof, and then applying chemical to the entire roof. This may take several applications, and can be a longer process than the pressure cleanse.
